Renovation work began in 2006 with gutting of the interior. The next two years would see the Syndicate Trust's facade cleaned, windows replaced, street level retail spaces re-opened, and much more.

May 2006 - the bare eastern face after the Century's removal. Part of the new garage (unaffectionately referred to by local urban observers as the Garage Mahal) rises in the foreground.

November 2006 - the cornice, with construction lines snaking off it.

July 2007 - work on the street-level storefronts removes the "modernizing" granite panels.
