The Slow Death of a City Block: 1900 Montgomery Street

1918a Montgomery Street
An alley house, a means of extra income for the property owner and a way to increase the density of the neighborhood.

I didn't see it coming, but in 2005, the entire east wall collapsed. The rear facade came down as well. The house was still standing in November 2005, though its total collapse or demolition is surely immenent.
