Watson Terrace Christian Church
Watson - south City
Architect: Dunn and Stinson, 1963
Front windows by Emil Frei Stained Glass Company
Design: Joan Velligan
The white brick and the staggered window design make this small building a prominent presence in its south City neighborhood. Designer Frederick Dunn was one of the city's most aclaimed Modernist architects.
The congregation formed in 1952 from the merger of Clifton Heights Christian Church and Winona Christian Church.
The front windows are clear glass, with Christian symbols rendered as three-dimensional forms raised above the glass surface.
