Beyond 3rd Baptist is a 1921 tower, the Missouri Theater building. The theater for which it is named no longer exists - it was located behind the tower, and was demolished in 1959.

The office tower has been home to the city's health department for many years; its upper floors also house Grand Center, Inc, the organization charged with redeveloping the neighborhood.
