Around the corner from the University Club tower is another performance venue, the converted church now known as the Grandell Theater.

Built in 1884 as the First Congregational Church, the building was converted in 1992 to a performance space. It is home to the Black Repertory Company.

This long shot of the street shows the typical degredation of the Midtown streetscape: only three other houses remain on this side of the block.
