Built St. Louis: City Churches
St. Anthony of Padua
Architect: Anselm Wolff
1908-10
The soaring twin towers (175 feet each) of this Romanesque Revival church are made to seem even higher by its hilltop site on Meremac Street in southtown. The church suffered a fire in the mid-1990s that destroyed its roof, but has since rebuilt.
