On Euclid south of Page, I found a number of houses in appalling condition, including the two shown here (December 1998.)

The twin at top, not surprisingly, has been demolished. The two-flat below was abandoned and appeared to have been hit by professional scavengers. The presumably ornate capitals of its porch columns, along with the cornice trim, had been removed, leaving the porch roof on the edge of collapse.
