St. Lucas United Church of Christ
11735 Denny Road - south County
1905 / 1971

Stained Glass by Emil Frei Stained Glass Company
Design:

This old country church was significantly expanded in 1971, when the wing to the left was added. Two massive stained glass windows are the primary feature of interest, in amber, gray and clear tones. Two screen windows in similar hues separate the sanctuary from adjacent spaces.

Older art glass windows still remain in the sides and back of the sanctuary.

The south-facing window is the Creation Window, unfolding from left to right and culimating in the figures of Adam and Eve.

To the north is the Christ window, symbolizing the life of Jesus.
