The story does not have a particularly happy ending. After all the convuted twists and turns, the building's surviving Mid-Century elements were stripped off or covered over by EFIS, very much against the wishes of the owner quoted on previous pages. The resulting bizarre fusion annihilates most of the building's architectural significance, while offering up little in replacement.
