St. Hedwig's Catholic Church
3202 Pulaski - south city
Architect: J.T. Golabowski
1957

A quiet and unassuming Modernist building on a residential street full of hundred year old brick homes, St. Hedwig's is in many ways a very typical building of its period. Simple geometric patterns, orange brick, stainless steel mullions, and a simple and clean interior mark its design. Golabowski also designed Holy Trinity in north County.

The parish and church were closed at the end of June 2005. The building has since been sold, and became home to the St. Louis Harvest Church in 2006.

A trade journal article on the building's construction is available online.
