One of the most striking buildings in the area is the former home of the Carter Carburetor Corporation. The brick Deco building was raised in 1928 for the Knights of Pythias.

The building appears to be vacant at present, and various internet searches have not yielded more information. The building comprises two parts; the massing, along with its original purpose, suggests that there is an auditorium within the larger rear section.
