St. Louis City Hospital: Health and Hospitals Building
Facing east along 14th Street is the Department of Health and Hospitals building, perhaps the most pleasingly proportioned of the entire group. Since 1996, virtually its entire cornice has collapsed, as has its wood entryway trim. The windows casings were removed in the summer of 2002 in anticipation of the building's renovation.
